Click Test

Press every button and spin the wheel. They light up the moment your mouse responds.

What this mouse tester checks

This tool checks every part of your mouse in one place: left and right click, the scroll wheel, middle click, the back and forward side buttons, double-click timing, drag, click speed (CPS), and how smoothly the cursor tracks. Press a button and the matching part of the on-screen mouse lights up, so you get instant confirmation instead of guessing. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and it works the same on a wired, wireless, or gaming mouse.

How to test your mouse

  1. 01Left-click, right-click, then middle-click (press the scroll wheel). Each button lights up on the mouse and stays marked once it responds.
  2. 02Roll the scroll wheel up and down and watch the matching arrow light up.
  3. 03Press the side buttons (back and forward) if your mouse has them.
  4. 04Open More tests to check double-click, drag, click speed (CPS), and cursor tracking.
  5. 05If a button never lights up no matter how you press it, that button is likely faulty.

Common mouse problems you can spot

  • Double-click bug: one physical click registers as two. The double-click test confirms it.
  • Dead or unresponsive button: the on-screen button stays dark when you press it.
  • Scroll wheel skipping or jumping: scroll slowly and watch the direction arrows.
  • Cursor drift or stutter: look for gaps in the trail on the cursor tracking pad.
  • Side buttons not responding: back or forward stay unlit even when pressed.

Frequently asked questions

Is this mouse test free?

Yes. Every test currently available on this page is free, with no signup or download.

Does it work with any mouse?

Yes. Wired, wireless, Bluetooth, and gaming mice all work. Buttons your mouse physically has will light up; buttons it does not have simply stay unmarked.

What is a double-click test?

It checks whether one physical click is wrongly registered as two. If the count jumps by two when you click once, your mouse switch is likely worn out.

What does CPS mean?

CPS stands for clicks per second, or how fast you can click. The CPS test counts your clicks over 1, 5, or 10 seconds and shows your average.

Why are my side buttons (back and forward) not lighting up?

Either your mouse has no side buttons, or the browser blocked them. Keep the pointer over the page and try again. Most standard mice only have left, right, and middle.

Can I test a laptop touchpad?

Left-click, right-click, and scrolling work with most touchpads. Middle click and side buttons usually do not apply, so they stay unmarked.

How do I fix a mouse that double-clicks?

A double-click fault is usually a worn micro-switch. Cleaning around the button can help for a while, but a lasting fix means replacing the switch or the mouse.

Do you store any of my data?

No. The whole test runs in your browser. Nothing about your mouse or your clicks is sent to a server.
