Frequently asked questions

What order will the extracted pages use?

Selected pages remain in their original document order and duplicate references are removed. Entering 8, 2, 5 does not create an arbitrary new sequence if the extraction logic preserves document order. Use the organizer when a custom rearrangement is required. Before extraction, verify that the chosen pages contain the complete section, including continuation pages, notes, signatures, legends, and attachments referenced by the visible content. Page labels printed on a document may also differ from physical PDF page numbers.

Can I enter several page ranges?

Yes. Separate individual pages and ranges with commas, such as 1-3, 7, 10-12. Every number must exist in the source, and reversed or malformed ranges are rejected. Use several ranges to collect related pages from different parts of a document into one new PDF. Review the selected page count and boundaries before creating the result, especially when the source includes unnumbered covers or front matter that shifts the physical PDF numbering from numbers printed on the pages.

How should I verify extracted PDF pages?

Open the result and compare its page count with the unique pages selected. Inspect the first and last page and every boundary between non-contiguous ranges. Confirm that the pages remain in the expected document order and that no required continuation, signature, note, or legend was omitted. Forms, outlines, internal links, and annotations may not survive exactly when pages are copied into a new PDF, so test those features and keep the complete source as the reference copy.

What limitations should I know before editing a PDF?

Selected pages are copied into a new PDF in document order, with duplicate selections removed. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Forms, outlines, internal links, annotations, attachments, scripts, and references to omitted pages may not remain usable. Printed page labels can differ from physical PDF page numbers. Verify range boundaries, output page count, signatures, continuation pages, searchable text, links, and fields before using the extracted document independently.

Are the PDF tools free to use?

Yes. Every PDF action listed in this section is free to use, requires no signup, and does not add a PetexSpace watermark. The tools have different input requirements and limitations, so open the exact action and review its page selection, supported image type, output behavior, and document warning before starting. Keep the original PDF until the result has been opened, checked page by page, and tested in the reader or workflow that will receive it.
